Valuejet: Daddy Freeze Speaks With Captain Over Pilot, KWAM 1’s Conduct, Video Draws Reactions

Popular media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, better known as Daddy Freeze, has shared a video conversation between him and a captain who shared her professional opinion about an incident involving a Valuejet pilot and Fuji star King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, better known as KWAM 1.
In the video, Daddy Freeze criticised the pilot's actions, which he described as unruly behavior, and argued that KWAM 1 should have been arrested by the police instead.

In response, the female captain and pilot, whose identity was kept private, explained that the incident was a result of human error.
The captain, who stated that the incident revealed gaps in the Nigerian aviation system, argued that the pilot should have insisted that KWAM 1 be removed from the route.
"We pilots don’t like to speak about certain things that involve us, but we have to speak and take responsibility when we are wrong. First, I see it as a chain of errors from many personnel, starting from FAAN, the airport authority.
"Then AVSEC should have been the one to disembark the passenger and ensure they were not on the route. He refused to let the aircraft taxi. This has to do with airplanes that are time-sensitive, but it doesn't mean safety should be compromised.
"It is human error; the captain should have conducted herself better. She could have insisted that the passenger be removed from the route. It was emotion over safety."
"It also showed a gap in the Nigerian aviation system because it revealed that whoever was in charge of screening — from what was written — he actually had alcohol on board. If this screening had been done properly, how did he get on board in the first place?" she added.
Meanwhile, reports disclosed that the licenses of Valuejet Captain Oluranti Ogoyi and co-pilot First Officer Ivan Oloba have been suspended with immediate effect.
