- Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale surrendered his luxury Lamborghini amid an FBI-linked investigation
- According to reports, the car was tied to a convicted fraudster serving 86 months in a United States prison
- During the raid, the music star pleaded with officers not to parade the car to protect his public image
Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale, has found himself in hot water after his Lamborghini Urus was seized by Ghana’s anti-corruption agency.
The vehicle, worth over ₦310 million, was reportedly confiscated at the request of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US Department of Justice, who believe it was acquired through proceeds of fraud, multiple reports in Ghana stated.
Search, seizure at Shatta Wale's Trassaco Mansion
According to a statement by Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), the seizure followed a lawful search at the musician’s luxurious Trassaco Valley residence in Accra.

The 2019 Lamborghini Urus was allegedly linked to Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian fraudster currently serving a seven-year prison term in the US for multiple financial crimes.
Investigations reveal the car was part of assets acquired through the proceeds of Amuah’s criminal enterprise.
Shatta Wale pleads for privacy
Rather than a dramatic showdown, EOCO said the singer voluntarily surrendered the vehicle after begging officers not to cause a scene. The car is currently in EOCO custody, pending formal repatriation to the United States as part of a $4.7 million restitution owed by Amuah.
While the seizure happened quietly, Shatta Wale later took to Facebook to vent his frustration, blasting EOCO’s boss, Raymond Archer, for storming his residence with armed men.
In a now-viral post, the singer wrote:
“Raymond Archer, EOCO Boss, Ibe, you go make NDC go out of power next 4 years. Bringing guns to my house was uncalled for.”
