In his words: “David is probably… I don’t care what anybody says, I think David’s the most influential person in Nigeria,” he said during the chat, pointing out how even in private spaces abroad, only a few are allowed in. “The only two guys allowed in that house were Chris Brown and Diplo,” he said, pointing out how Chris Brown, in particular, is close to Davido.
When asked how he and his team continuously obtain brand partnerships for the superstar while remaining true to his identity, Asa stated unequivocally that nothing happens by chance.
“I don’t think there’s a brand that has a deal with Davido today that isn’t aligned with his brand — or that we haven’t found a way to align,” he added.

Legit.ng earlier reported that in a heartwarming twist of fate, the Nigerian music icon proved why he is loved far beyond the music scene.
A young Lagos State University graduate and X influencer, popularly known online as Baddy of Lagos, had been in a desperate race against time, seeking N18.3 million to undergo a spinal correction surgery in India. The stakes were high, and the clock was ticking.
Then, something unexpected happened.
Baddy had been crowdfunding online, hoping that kind Nigerians would rally to save his spine and restore his health. With posts and appeals flooding social media, he kept hope alive.

But nothing prepared him for what he described as “beyond imagination.”
On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the influencer took to X to announce that the Afrobeats star had made a donation of 3 million naira for the surgery.
Davido’s donation wasn’t just a drop in the bucket. It was the final push that tipped the campaign into success.
