Mohbad: Influencer Shares Liam’s DNA Test Evidence after VDM Call-Out, Fuels Fresh Controversy
- Twitter Influencer Pooja reacted after VeryDarkMan questioned his 2023 tweet on Mohbad’s son’s DNA
- The media personality shared proof from a newspaper report and insisted his post was out of genuine concern
- He apologises if his post caused hurt, saying he’s willing to take it down out of respect
Nigerian influencer Sulaimon Adebayo, aka Pooja, has broken his silence after being publicly questioned by activist VeryDarkMan over a sensitive issue involving the late singer Mohbad’s son, Liam.
VDM had called out Pooja and another influencer, Mbah, accusing them of spreading unverified claims in 2023 that the DNA test had confirmed Liam as Mohbad’s biological child. But Pooja stated it wasn’t what it looked like.
Taking to X, Pooja denied acting out of bias or being sponsored to push a particular narrative in the ongoing Mohbad case.

He backed his tweet by posting a screenshot of a newspaper headline reporting on the DNA result at the time. To him, that was credible enough to share — not a deliberate attempt to mislead.
Pooja said he only posted out of genuine concern and grief.
He added:
“I was deeply hurt by Mohbad’s untimely passing, like many Nigerians. So when I saw posts suggesting that his child had been confirmed as his, I tweeted out of emotion and genuine concern for the baby’s future.”
The journalist, however, stated that his intentions were pure — to see Mohbad’s legacy live on through his son. He admitted that if his post caused pain to the late singer’s family or fans, he was open to removing it entirely.
He concluded:
“If my tweet was inaccurate or caused any pain, I sincerely apologize. That was never my intention. I’m open to taking it down out of respect for the family.”

Legit.ng compiled reactions of netizens below:
@HighChiefOkoro:
"You clearly wanted the son to inherit the earnings of his father’s hard work. You did what every right-thinking person should do. So many were caught in the rave of emotions and wanted the child to be able to get a good life even in the absence of his father. If the DNA story has now been proven to be false, then it is a huge pity."
@Rotleo3819:
"You have not done anything wrong or bad that guy only like to dey chase clout cos he get a lot of gullible followers or supporters. Bros no stress yourself joor"
@Homealoneonly:
"This isn't the evidence sir.. We waked up early today but we're not going to bed early today"
