Music producer and recording artist Samuel Oguachuba, better known as Samklef, has shared a video announcing that he is withdrawing from the fight for justice for the late singer Mohbad and distancing himself from the controversial WhatsApp group chat he was part of.

The former singer had earlier been called out by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), over the WhatsApp group and the conversations that took place there.

In his latest video, Samklef claimed that someone from the group had leaked the chat. He questioned why he was being insulted and criticised for his involvement in the justice campaign, especially when Mohbad's father appeared to no longer be concerned about the fight.

He said he had come to realise that everyone is ultimately on their own, and emphasised that he had no personal interest in the case. The former singer stated that he was tired, wanted to rest, and focus on his life.

In the recording, Samklef acknowledged that while VDM is a good man, he also has his flaws. He revealed that they were once on good terms at the start of the justice campaign, and that he had personally reached out to VDM because they were both advocating for the oppressed.

He went on to advise Sam Larry, Naira Marley, and Zinoleesky to move on with their lives and rebuild their careers. According to him, the court had cleared them and exonerated them from being responsible for Mohbad’s death.

Samklef shares reason for his fight

Explaining why he initially joined the fight for justice for Mohbad, Samklef said it was after he saw that the singer was buried without the presence of his friends or fellow music artistes.

The former singer felt something was suspicious, which prompted him to speak out and demand justice.

Fans react to Samklef's video

Many who reacted to the video supported Samklef’s decision and praised him for making a wise choice.

However, a few others claimed it was VDM who had forced him to make the video due to mounting pressure.
