Davido vs Verydarkman: Activist Addresses Rumours of Financially Benefiting From Singer

Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Verydarkman has addressed claims of being on Afrobeats star Davido’s payroll.

In a recent video, the outspoken model attacked detractors as he revealed that he has never received a dime from Davido.

He shared this on his Instagram page, while denying that Davido bankrolled him.

According to him, the majority of the actions people credited to Davido were actually done by him.

VDM clarified that when he first met the Afrobeats star in Lagos, he paid for his flight and hotel accommodation, contrary to what the media carried.

The TikTok star also mentioned that he rejected a 50 million naira cash gift from Davido’s uncle Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun state.

He said in part in:

“Anytime I talk about Davido people go say after all Davido has done for you. Davido flew you to Lagos. Davido has contributed to your NGO. The time I go to Lagos to go see Davido, na me pay my flight ticket. The hotel wey dey say Davido lodge me, na me pay for the hotel. But for entertainment purpose, we just leave am like that.”

Terry Apala warns VDM over video

Legit.ng had reported that singer Terry Apala had shared his grievances with Verydarkman over a video he made about him and the EFCC.

The activist had claimed that Terry was arrested by the anti-graft agency and allegedly bribed his way out of the situation.

The music star gave VDM an ultimatum to bring down the video about him or face the wrath of the law.
