Nigerian actor Gideon Okeke has publicly called out Nollywood wardrobe team over poor costume hygiene, after reportedly suffering a severe skin reaction while filming an epic production.
Taking to his Instagram stories on Wednesday, July 30, the former Tinsel star revealed that he returned home from set with his body covered in rashes caused by the animal skin tunics used during production.

According to Gideon, the issue stemmed from unwashed costumes that had been reused without proper care.
He expressed frustration over what he described as a recurring problem in Nollywood’s epic film productions, where traditional and costume-heavy roles often require actors to wear materials that can be rough on the skin.

He stressed that simple hygiene practices, like washing costumes before handing them over to another actor, could prevent such health issues.
