The saga stemmed from the pastor’s criticism of the singer for inviting streamer Peller to his house, where he (Peller) reportedly spoke in tongues and prophesied, an act the pastor saw as a mockery of God.
Deacon Famous began by criticising the act of using the pulpit to publicly clap back at others, especially during worship services.

He emphasised the need for private correction and humility when confronted. He acknowledged how hard it can be to accept correction but insisted that the Holy Spirit helps believers develop humility.
According to him, failure to accept correction is often rooted in pride, which in turn is closely tied to anger and poor judgement.
Sharing from his own experiences, he referenced a past situation where he apologised multiple times after realising the impact of his words, stressing that acknowledging faults is a strength, not a weakness.
He criticised the gospel artist’s decision to respond to the pastor from another pulpit, stating it would have been better if the artist had chosen to address the issue from his house.
Famous warned that in ministry, public backlash and criticism are common, even for renowned leaders like pastor Chris and apostle Suleman.

He noted that regardless of a pastor's shortcomings, they still occupy a sacred place in God's agenda and should be approached with respect.
He suggested the artist may have fallen into a trap by responding and advised him to retrace his steps before further damage is done to his reputation and spiritual walk.
He concluded by advising the artist not to be swayed by social media followers, reminding him that followers come for various reasons, not all pure.
True accountability, he insisted, is to God, not followers. Deacon Famous called for restraint, self-control, and ultimately an apology, emphasising that ministry is led by divine instruction, not emotion.

Testimony Jaga blasts Ebuka Songs
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that gospel singer Testimony Jaga responded to a viral video of fellow artist Ebuka Songs addressing criticism from Pastor Kiesena Esiri during a church service.
Pastor Esiri had accused Ebuka of mocking Christianity by inviting Peller to his house, where he subsequently began speaking in tongues. Jaga expressed disappointment in Ebuka’s public reaction, stating that correction was given in love and should have been accepted humbly.
He further cited Moses Bliss, Ebuka’s former boss, whom he said had been silent despite criticism stemming from his (Ebuka’s) department at the record label. He also criticised Ebuka’s association with streamer Peller.
He claimed that in the video, Peller was actually mocking him, but Ebuka failed to understand.
