In a statement to the Nigerian Exchange, Dangote Cement CEO Arvind Pathak expressed the company's excitement at the expansion of its export business.
He said, “Export volumes from Nigeria increased by 18.2 percent, with 18 successful clinker shipments made to Ghana and Cameroon. This demonstrates the growing importance of our Pan-African footprint and our ongoing commitment to regional trade and self-sufficiency.”

Leadership reported that Dangote Cement has greatly improved its cost architecture, according to Pathak, who also disclosed that the company's strategic priorities are still centered on long-term value development.
“During the period, we began the phased delivery of 1,600 additional CNG-powered trucks, which will significantly reduce our logistics costs and enhance environmental efficiency,” he explained.
He discussed the company's strength, resilience, and adaptability in the face of improvements in important macroeconomic indicators when discussing the second quarter's financial results. He said that the company's emphasis on cost containment and operational efficiency is producing noticeable outcomes.
He said that while group profit increased by 174.1 percent, group EBITDA increased by an astounding 41.8 percent to N944.9 billion. This outstanding performance is a result of our years of strategic investments, focused execution, and solid cost leadership.
With a 52.0 Mta capacity throughout Africa, Dangote Cement is the continent's top cement manufacturer. With a capacity of 16.25 Mta across five lines, the Obajana plant in Kogi State, Nigeria, is the biggest in Africa. In contrast, the four cement lines at its Ibese factory in Ogun State have a combined installed capacity of 12 million tons.
Similarly, its Okpella factory in Edo State has 3 Mta, and its Gboko plant in Benue State has 4 Mta. Nigeria is no longer dependent on imported cement due to Dangote Cement's recent investments, which have also made the country an exporter of clinker and cement to its neighbors.
The company also operates in Cameroon (where it grinds 1.5 million tons of clinker), Congo (1.5 million tons), Ghana (where it grinds and imports 2.0 million tons of clinker), Ethiopia (2.5 million tons), Senegal (1.5 million tons), Sierra Leone (0.5 million tons), South Africa (2.8 million tons), Tanzania (3.0 million tons), and Zambia (1.5 million tons).
